Birt of Idea

A couple of years ago, a globe trotter & the founder of “coworkingbird.com”, Johan Persson was travelling across the continent of Asia which is when he met a life changing experience that led him to initiate the business and participate in the global workspace-transition movement.

About Us
Coworkingbird Our Story

STORY OF COWORKINGBIRD

Johan – a Swedish by origin and an ardent traveler by nature, had explored the lengths and breadths of Europe and in 2014, he set off for an expedition to explore Asia for the very first time. The word has it that he fell head over heels for the warm and vibrant Asian culture.

While the wanderlust firmly gripped him by his collar, he wanted to extend his trip for further exploration. As he postponed his return, work started to consume the better part of his mind and he had to eventually find a space to operate. Renting was an option but not too attractive, as he wanted a short gap solution for the interim period.

He was still evaluating the pros and cons of renting against working from hotel; which is when by a stroke of good luck he ended up at a coworking space: a space he had never heard of, never seen before. This was a game-changer, a life-changing experience and much more.

A perfectly tailored solution completely in sync with his nomadic lifestyle; the coworking space offered:

  • Fast & reliable WI-FI
  • Day wise desks availability
  • Warm cup of coffee
  • Wide range of seating options (open spaces or private rooms)
  • Networking with like-minded professionals from across the globe
Coworkingbird Our Story

It was during this period the idea of coworingbird.com started growing. By 2018, Johan had worked at numerous coworking spaces across the globe and he was clear in his mind that he wanted to extend the service to similar location independent professionals, entrepreneurs and freelancers.

Leading into 2019, he engaged a small team of global and remote professionals to materialize his thoughts and ideas. All the team members are the best in their respective class; coming from diverse backgrounds, cultures and professions. With this, coworkingbird.com started taking form and structure.

Today coworkingbird.com is the largest global archive of coworking spaces with an enlistment of over 12,000 spaces from around 20,000 cities across the world; bridging the gap between the professionals seeking coworking space and the space owners.
